Spending money is fun.

Spending someone else's money is more fun.

Spending Inotek's money on pipettors and other HPLC equipment is well justified since I accomplished more on their problem in one afternoon than they have with 5 full-time techs.

Our postdoc was thinking of going up there for a job possibly, but after hearing about their rectal-cranial inversion, he's not too sure.

I am not an HPLC tech... but they seem to think that I am. One more skill for the resume.

They're happy with the work you have done for them ? Cool !

>rectal-cranial inversion

I think I can understand why that guy thought twice...

I am not quite sure that "happy" is the word. I'm challenging a lot of work that they've done, so there's likely to be some convincing. But come on... with five paid techs... and the competition being dinky old me... you'd think they could do better.

Eh, postdoc says as long as they pay him for about a year, he doesn't care. :) He's a resourceful guy.

That should make them somewhat impressed at least... or yes, annoyed in some ways too...
I hope you can manage to convince them about your results in due time.

That's really up to the boss. He deals with them, not me, and we don't hear a peep unless there's a crisis... and now, the fallout. *shrugs*

Talk about "power shopping." ;)

heh heh, the power of the purchase order.

I bought my Galileo thermometer on my boss's tab. Shhh! :)

I've got one of those! okay, it's a really cheezy one, but it works. ;)

But it'll cost you 5 mushies to keep me silent! =P

I have one from Fisher Scientific... it's okay. But I did win one in a vendor giveaway which is much nicer; it was glass instead of plastic. Hubby has it in his office where it's less likely to take a header into the spider plant. :)

*hands over 5 mushies*

Counts mushies, just to make sure. Okies, you bought my silence.

Actually mine is glass too, but it's still a cheezy one...
