Immensely tired today. Don't know why. However, I've had a glimmer of hope in the chemistry department - I might have gotten a troublesome reaction to work. I hope so because it means good things, such as I might actually graduate one of these days.

Campus is finally quiet after about a week of collective partying; the students have had their reunions and the ceremonies are over. Doesn't mean that much to me except that parking is much less tight and if I arrive at 9:30, good spots will still be available. Another reason to like summer.

Hideto was kind enough to send me PhotoShop and a variety of goodies to play with; thank you very much, Hideto! I made a new graphic for the Photo Gallery (no big deal, but I made it myself!) The EyeCandy plug-in is really neat, and perhaps it will be an inspiration to update my insipid site.

We're off to Buffalo this weekend to visit some friends. Seven hours one way for a weekend really isn't that great, but our friends want to see us, and they won't take a day off work to spend with us. To be fair, I think they have very little vacation time - he just started at Praxair, and they only gave him a week's worth to start out. Yuck.

Like Shadow, I had the extreme pleasure of watching Cybor turn off the post poll option. Short of getting out the flamethrower (which I itch to do regularly, especially when "Bryan the Gothic Beatnik" posts,) there isn't much we can do to improve the general intelligence level of the Realm. If I see one more post about a Soul Reaver movie or a poll about who Raziel should hook up with, I'm going to scream. In addition, anyone who thinks cutesy-poo and Soul Reaver go together should have their head examined.

Enough ranting for now.

Seriously, thank god Cybor turned off the Poll Option. Good lord, I'll admit I've posted a poll, but I'm glad that goddamned feature is turned off for now. That's one step in making the realm better, but not by much IMO. Ahh well, somethings you can't change. Now if only BO2 can get cancelled, the world will be a better place. Heh heh heh. *devlish grin*

I was rather glad to see the poll option turned off too. Actually I was rather sad to see that it was necessary. Polls are good if used properly. That seems to be impossible.

It's annoying to see in the GLOK forum, the absurd topics that pop up, and I too noticed Bryan the Gothic Beatnik congratulating himself on his pictures. That was just strange.

I know what it's like to have a semi-peaceful university campus. Most of the students have gone home, and there is very little people around. It's quiet, calm, and no annoying student stereotypes around. Bliss!

Time Travelling Posters eh DS? I hate them too. I mean, what's th epoint of asking a question in a thread if you know the fuckin' answer already?

Who's ever heard of a "Goth beatnik" any way ? It's a totally stupid and wrong term. Real beatniks like Burroughs would have turned in their graves if they heard that title.
