Got to Confessions of the Creator in Dissidia 012 and promptly got my ass whupped by Feral Chaos many, many times. I guess RPG mode isn't going to get me through the entire game, which is too bad because I can't play Dissidia any other way. Bawl.


On the upside, maybe now I'll actually finish FFIV. You never know.

I walloped the first Feral Chaos without too much trouble on RPG mode. (Confession: I haven't quite gotten to the last one yet.) He has a bitch-ass hard time dodging Mega Flare.

My lvl 100 character party is WoL, Cecil, Tidus, Cloud, and (of course) Laguna. Problem is that Feral Chaos beats the snot out of the poor sap who's unfortunate enough to be on deck, and then one-shots him. I can hit with HP attacks, but not enough times, and I can't seem to control whether the character blocks or dodges. Boo.

Laguna is NOT good against Feral Chaos. It's kind of asking for disaster, unfortunately. Close-attackers in general don't fare too well against him.

Yeah, Mega Flare is Yuna. I stuffed her offensive lineup with that, and he just can't seem to dodge it. Firion going aerial is good too. toffeethesnob had killer good luck with Kuja, and I've heard CoD is good too. The good strategy seems to be grab the aerial ones and bomb him from the skies as much as you can.

True confessions: Mega Flare is what ended up turning Yuna into one of my primaries. I hadn't intended to do much of anything with her, and then MEGA FLARE and now I can't do without her.

Confession: It wasn't killer good luck so much as it was that Kuja is perhaps the one character that is completely broken against FC due to having the sky as his bitch. Since Kuja can constantly spam Ultima from the very top of the stage where FC can't reach him but the ultima hail can still hit FC, it's really a case of just remaining airborne and spamming for 20 minutes. Every other character I've tried generally seems to get their poor posterior handed to them in a matter of seconds.

Also I'm thinking of using Yuna for my next 000 party (which won't have Kuja) and I have to ask...is Mega Flare mid range or long range? (And does it require a certain amount of charging up?)

Kuja is just amazing like that, or something. Firion actually found a use for Straightarrow, too, as utterly bizarre as that sounds. But yeah, Kuja is so broken there.

Mega Flare is considered long-range, but it's most fun if you blast someone in the face with it and smash 'em into a wall. There's no charge-up time, you just hit 'em good and hard. It's one of those attacks that hits for an extended period before the big blast, so you pin 'em to the wall and annihilate their sorry butts.

Really? Well damn, I'll need to practice with Straightarrow for a bit then. (I need to tackle Firion's Destiny Odyssey in Japanese at some point so I'm using this opportunity to brush up on learning everyone's movesets again as well as the language.) Generally I tend to be lazy and abuse Weaponmaster or Lord of Arms... Got nothing to do with leering at his 3rd alt trousers of course.

No wonder it gives FC a hard time. Heh, now to just check Ultimania to make sure I know what it's called. *flips through book* Oh phewf, it's the exact same name. (Some of these translation differences are driving me bonkers. Most of Seph's HP attacks are in kanji and as for CoD...let's just say I was screeching "Kusou!" a lot.)

I learned to abuse the fuck out of Weaponsmaster once Schala pointed out that it works through walls. At that point, nothing was safe. Lord of Arms to the face would probably work pretty well if he wasn't so damn FAST. (Hey, he has a nice ass, what can we say?)

Yeah, Mega Flare demolishes shit. I seriously wasn't planning on turning Yuna into a main; hell, I couldn't figure out why she was in the damn game to start with. But then there was Mega Flare, and now she's not only one of my mains, she's my Labyrinth starter. She replaced Bartz in my lineup YOU BASTARDS HOW COULD YOU TAKE AWAY WIND SHEAR OMG I HATE YOU ALL.

In one of the FAQs I saw for beating Feral Chaos, the author listed all the characters s/he felt were good for beating it (him?) and I had leveled exactly one of them (Cloud.) Damn you, pretty mens!

I get a lot of mileage out of Squall and he FAILS SO HARD at FC. He's too close-range and the last thing in the world you want is to get CLOSE to that bastard.

Uhhhh. Level 1, no armor, no weapons, and lots of willpower?! I am terrible without that multiplier. But... LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, AND COURAGE IS ENOUGH TO OVERPOWER THIS BEAST!

Hopefully the same will happen when I get to the other Chaos. (YES I STILL HAVEN'T BEAT 000 YET. D:)
