What I don't understand is why it takes so frickin long for people that everyone ALREADY knows is gay to legitimately come out.

Okay, maybe not *everyone*. There are some poor, unfortunate souls with no gaydar. (My mom.) But, seriously. I get that there's all sorts of career ramifications and whatnot. But when the closet is made out of clear glass, what is the point of staying inside of it?

Ha, I like this. And yes, it was always pretty clear that Ricky Martin was strong in teh ghey, but what clinched it for me was when he found a surrogate for his twins. No heterosexual star would do that - he'd find some starlet babymommy.
