Son of Snowpocalypse

12 - 14 inches expected in my area.

Good: Will probably get the day off tomorrow. If not, taking the day off. Mama didn't raise no fool. Have plenty of food, water, and candles in the house, plus Katamari Forever and a neglected quilt.

Bad: Husband is in Florida for business, which leaves me home alone for the snowstorm. It's no fun to be in the middle of a big storm and have no one to snuggle with. At least our neighbor has agreed to come over with the snowblower!

It will be fun.....

More fun for those who don't have to drive in it, for sure!

Too bad I don't live closer--we could make nerdy snow sculptures on the lawn :)

And then drink hot chocolate!

And then watch some porn!

Snuggle with the kitton?

We're snowed in today in IL. Only about 8-10 inches here though. But COLD! The wind chill is in the negatives.

Kitton will be duly snuggled with, when she feels like snuggles.

It's been such a cold winter, hasn't it?

Mom was supposed to come home from Florida tomorrow but her flight got canceled. As for me, TD Bank will drag my ass to work. Corporations, yay.

Sorry to hear your mom can't fly home on schedule - ugh. And it'll be tough to get on a plane to anywhere on the Eastern Seaboard for the next couple days, because this storm is going to hit all the major metro areas. Hope she gets home soon.

I hope you enjoy your day off. We haven't had a decent amount of snow in ages-- it's so weird to be up north and pretty much getting jack while half my friends are buried.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
The big dumps have all been coastal, and over areas that don't normally get a whole lot of snow. In Buffalo, they wouldn't bat an eyelash at this.

Well, we have snowplows up here, which helps.

See, mother nature has a sick sense of humor. Right after our sore muscles recover from shoveling the first storm, now she dumps more on us. And I'm driving to Katsucon on Thursday. It's going to be a fun trip, I'm sure. XD

Wah, I miss going to cons. Are you sure that the roads will be clear enough to get to Katsucon? DC is pretty much shut down! Have fun when you get there!

Right now, it's just about white-out conditions!
