D:

YOU GUYS THERE ARE (AT LEAST) TWO TWIMOMS IN MY OFFICE

HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS

I DON'T THINK THAT ONE OF THEM THOUGHT IT WAS HUMOROUS WHEN I SAID THAT WE BROUGHT RUM TO "TWILIGHT" AND TOOK A SHOT EVERY TIME SOMEONE SPARKLED

Oh dear.

Twilight seems to be the great divide. Either you love it or you hate it. I'm of the second variety.

Haaaaaaaaaaaa!

[identity profile] archaeologist-d.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. Even my 15 year old doesn't like it.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just sorry to see that so many people think that having a stalker is romantic. Sigh.

[identity profile] morgi.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought this was a Biscuit post at first from all the caps.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
No, but I do have some Biscuit stories to tell, mostly involving playtime at 2 AM.

[identity profile] pointedview.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Whether or not they found it humorous, I certainly laughed. :)

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
We did too, along with the whole theatre. XD

[identity profile] skurtchasor.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, what exactly is a TWIMOM? I mean, I get the general idea, but....

We had a viewing out here with the aid of a bottle of Port (of the Ancients!). I didn't think it was that bad, but I'm an old vampire movie junkie and have seen some really terrible ones. I put Twilight just a notch below Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, if only because the latter had more nudity. Hey, these are my rules, I make them up.

[identity profile] fadingembers.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I approve of your rules XD

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
A TwiMom is a mom who bought the Twilight books for her kids and got a little too into them herself. Mostly, a bunch of older women squeeing over a stone-hard vampire who stalks his intended.

[identity profile] fadingembers.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
HOW COULD THEY NOT FIND THAT FUNNY. DID YOU TELL THEM ABOUT THE KID IN FRONT OF US? HE WAS FTW.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
IF IT EVER COMES UP AGAIN, I WILL DEFINITELY SHARE THE "REHAB" COMMENT.

[identity profile] sailormac.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
I have Twimoms in my office, too. I cringe whenever I hear them talking about how great the books are.

Wow, you must have been drunk by the end of the film!

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear it. No one should have to listen to TwiMoms.

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh come on. We took shots more often than that.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
We are totes on for New Moon. Maybe it should be a renter so we can get properly blitzed.

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think Casey will wait that long. Someone else has to be DD next time, though. I need to get my drink on this go-round.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder whether anyone lives near a theatre we can walk or take the train to?

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2009-06-13 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Walk, stagger...same difference.

[identity profile] ladyofthesea.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
No Twimoms at my job, but a bunch of the tellers gushed about how 'awesome' the books were. Thing is, none of them could tell me why.

[identity profile] tiggymalvern.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Because everyone says it's awesome, right? So of course it must be awesome! Any other decision would require them to think for themselves.

[identity profile] ladyofthesea.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Truefax. Also, icon love! Muraki FTW!

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
HE WATCHES HER SLEEP THAT'S WHY

THAT IS V. ROMANTIC

[identity profile] ladyofthesea.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
OH NOEZ HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT? BAD SERENA!

[identity profile] tiggymalvern.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You put actual money into Twilight? I don't think I could bring myself to encourage the hype and the awful, even for amusement :-(

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
We did buy tickets to the movie, I'm ashamed to say, but it was a fun girl's night out with alcohol.

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw it again on the plane back from Japan. Didn't pay for it that time, of course, but thank goodness for free wine on international flights is all I'm saying.
