Ruthenium. Complexes well, highly flexible in its oxidation states, useful in catalysis and in effecting difficult chemical transformations. Rare and precious, but not overly so. Next step down the periodic table from iron.

Seawater. The closest cousin to blood and the font of life.

The bracing, icy blast of a winter's day.

-If you were fire, what kind of fire would you be?

The dull glow of embers, seemingly quiet but will roar to life given the proper stimulus

-If you were a stone, what stone would you be?

A shivering, water-like, clear rainbow moonstone.

-If you were a metal, what metal would you be?

Platinum. Hard metal. Not showy. Finds broad utility in metallurgy as well as being used to set the most precious of gems.

-If you were a wood, what wood would you be?

Teak. Water-resistant and used on battleships and pleasure boats alike.

-If you were a sense, what sense would you be?

Sight, because it is so precious.

-If you were a temperature, what temperature would you be?

90-100 deg C because my most successful reactions have taken place at that temp

-If you were a word, what word would you be?

géal - "bright" in Irish Gaelic

-If you were a facial expression/gesture, what would it be?

an arched eyebrow

-If you were a weather condition, what weather condition would you be?

An impending thunderstorm, gray and threatening

I have a dulcimer, very beautiful instruments, only learnt to play mine last year, me and my mum were taught how to make our own.
