In case any of you wanted to get into my lab today, the keycards lock the doors, rather than unlocking them.

This is an issue that you somehow never have with a physical key. After all the hassles I've had with hotel keycards, I hate the damn things.

I'd rather have a keycard than to have to fiddle with a key every time I wanted to get into a restricted area, but it caused us no end of amusement yesterday every time someone would try to badge in and then couldn't open the door.
