a matter of grave importance

My colorist isn't working at the salon any more.

I am crushed.

D: Shiznit! I hope you can find another good one, your hair is always so lovely!

Me toooo. I finally have great hair, and Laurie quits. *wails*

Probably not as crushed as I was when my masseur went off to train as an acupuncturist. I've been through several of their staff since, and I know I'm settling every time I go :-(

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2007-05-09 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
But... but... you can't get complimented on your massage! *cries*

It's the "going through staff" part that sucks the most. People go years without finding a personal services provider they like.

Compliments? Feh. I just want to feel good, because I'm a hedonist XD

Yeah, it takes so long to find another who matches up, if you ever do.

Do you know where she works now? Can you use that salon instead?

Good hairdresser/doctor/whatever is so hard to find, because it really depends on the person you meet, that one can get along and communicate with them. There's plenty of people who are not service minded at all, so one wants to stay with the ones that are.

Agh, you're so right about finding the right person... it's that good combination of rapport and talent.

My colorist lives quite far away, and I have no way of knowing exactly why she left. The odd part is that usually when a stylist leaves, she calls her clients to tell them where she went. This didn't happen. Strange.

That sucks. one of the reason I can't quite bring myself to color my hair is I don't really trust anyone to do it.

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2007-05-11 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
I have enough gray that not coloring really isn't an option. ^_^; It's tough to find someone good, but it's also quite hard to do it yourself, IMO.

I'm probably another year away from Mamoru here. At least for once in my life people will think I'm older than I actually am?

Aw, man...I know how you feel. My mom followed the same hairdresser from shop to shop in our area for more than 20 years. Can you find out where she's gone?

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2007-05-09 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
She lives way out in East Buttfuck, PA, so if she's decided to work close to home, I'd be driving an hour and a half to get a haircut and color. :/

D:

Why does everything keep reminding me of the fact that I need to go and get my hair cut?
I don't want, hairdressers scare me. But my hair resembles Kurt Cobain's and that kind of scares me too ;_;

[identity profile] arafel.livejournal.com 2007-05-09 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Hairdressers sure are scary, if you don't know whether you like the job s/he is going to do!

The official word is that she didn't want to do the hour-plus commute any more. What the unofficial word is, I don't know, and she didn't call to let her clients know she'd left.

You could always Google her.
