I volunteered to do the web page for a friend at work who has a band called The Tide. Basically, they're a bar band, but I like Al and I find the songs to be decent shore music (even if they are in desperate need of a drummer.) serendipitysho has a very good step-by-step layout tutorial on her site, and here's the result!

Some of the colors need adjusting, but overall I'm quite happy with this. Rouge and lipstick, so to speak. Looks much better than the original attempt!

I wish I could do stylesheets. I keep meaning to teach myself but I never have the time.

I like the layout a lot, it seems to really fit the subject.

I use Adobe GoLive, and that program helps you to write stylesheets easily. If asked to draw up a stylesheet by hand, I could never do it properly. Stylesheets are highly useful, as you can change font colors and background etc by changing the sheet rather than having to reprogram all your pages.

Nice site. I think the colors are fine as they are. But you are right, they don't seem to have a drummer at all (I thought at first you meant they just needed a BETTER one). Definately need to fix that!

You're seeing the site since I fixed it - glad you think it looks good! My friend was very happy with it.

He knows and agrees they need a drummer, but I guess it's hard enough for the trio to get together as it is without adding a drummer to the mix. They'll figure it out. ^^
