I'm SO buying it this weekend. There's a Best Buy at Easton, so I decree that we must swing by there before or after we have Steak `n Shake. *considers the timing* Probably before.

I got my copy today. Couldn't wait for boxset, no no. Our Best Buy didn't have it. I'll bring my disc along just in case.

I want it even though I've seen it all! Especially if there's shinies. I'm a total sucker for those hideously overpriced boxed editions. ::pets Gungrave-with-free-mousemat::

What do you think of Gungrave? I was unimpressed by the first ep - should I have held out longer?

You've seen all the eps, but you haven't seen the dub! It's like a whole new show! *grins*

Is the dub good? SC is yet another case of me not being able to imagine other voices for the characters because the Japanese ones are just. so. perfect.

Oh, and how much do I heart episode 11, btw? It's so bittersweet and lovely!

I saw a commercial (or the commercial, I guess. My TV viewing is limited to very few channels) and it made me sooo excited. Is there anything about it that definitely makes it a stand out?

Samurai Champloo is one of the slickest, funkiest, most self-parodying animes to come along in recent memory. It's uber-cool, and yet makes fun of all kinds of anime stereotypes. The only flaw is that there isn't an overarching plot except for "find sunflower samurai," but when you're having this much fun, who cares?
