buh

The weekend in a nutshell.

1. I am never driving all the way back from Boston again. Nevernevernevernever.

2. Boston is a very fun place to visit. We spent the weekend walking the Freedom Trail and eating. Among the touristy things we saw:

--Paul Revere's house
--Old North Church ("One if by land, two if by sea")
--USS Constitution
--Destroyer berthed next to Constitution
--Newbery St.
--Boston Green and the pond
--Little Italy/North End

3. Paul Revere is associated with Revere Ware pots and pans b/c he was the first to roll copper in sheets in the US. Shut up, I didn't know.

4. Never again will I complain about the size of the apt we have. Our friends live in a goddamn shoebox. It's a very cute shoebox, but it's a shoebox.

5. I need a lot more sleep.

Hey, welcome back. :D How long was the drive? I plan on going there next year to attend a Patriots home game, and all I know for certain that it won't take me a day and a half to get there. ^_^'

It was about four and a half hours, and we cruise at about 80 mph. So, it's not too bad, but I get tired after about 3 h of driving. Hope you get to go!

If I know me and my spontaneous way of planning things, I'm a shoe-in to go. I had been planning my KC trip since August. ^_^

Wow, if you get tired after 3 hours of driving then it's a good thing the football team you like is local. :p I don't know how many hours I drove all together while I was away, but it was a lot. *laughs*

I've driven 5 hours straight on the way back from Otakon, but I was beat yesterday and needed some help. The best thing to do is switch drivers about every 3 hours. You drove out to KC, right? O_o

You drove into Boston?!?! Oh my god. How did you survive?!

The cost and size of apartments even this far out in the suburbs should be ILLEGAL.

*grins* I didn't drive into Boston, my husband got that chore. That's why he made me drive all the way home. It wasn't too bad, though - we had a map and the route wasn't difficult. However, on driving around with friends the next day, it was easy to see why everyone takes the T.

My friends paid 300K for that shoebox. The mind, it boggles.
