Samurai Champloo 7

Last ep was so freaking funny, and after this one, I just want to cry.

Damn.

Stupid hormones.

after this one, I just want to cry.

Oh, don't say that! My hormones are giving me hell and spots atm, if you know what I mean, so yeah. There'd better not be a character death, but there will be. I always get attached to the black-listed ones. ;(

Oh yeah, that's a good episode, touching and moving and with a social conscience, the way good ronin stories should be. (Ronin stories are always about the downtrodden and unfair social differences.)

The boy and the mother's fate made me tear up too. It's told in a sensitive and non sentimental manner. Fuu's reactions and the way she handles the events just shows what a human and cool character she is.

I got the CDs yesterday and spent most of the evening watching the eps. :))) Thanks a lot for sending! The eps are great, just getting better and better. Thanks for sending disc 1 in the first place! (I wanna watch Teeny Witches too). More mail is on the way to you.

Here's hoping you have a good afternoon and get rid of some of the filtration problems. *****hug*****

Ohh, good that you got everything! That was quick, esp since I sent out the package on Saturday - must have just caught the plane. :) Glad that you are enjoying the episodes - they really are tremendous. It will be interesting to see how this series turns out, but I heard it's going on a 4-week hiatus after ep 18, argh!

Happily, the filtration problems are not landing in my lap quite yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :) Thank you!

You're so right about that, in that the viewer is left to develop his/her own emotional reactions, instead of laying it on thick with rose petals and floating animation the way some animes do. When the kid got cornered, I just knew, and it put a lump in my throat. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
