B'day aftermath
It was a very very nice evening last night, full of happy surprises.
My husband cooked me dinner (he's a better cook than me, heh heh) and bought me an orange and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Yum! He'd been wiggly all night, asking over and over about when to have presents. Finally after cake, I opened a little box that I expected to have jewelry in it. I'm a jewelry junkie and it's never a bad bet, so...
There wasn't any jewelry in the box. There was a little note.
The note said, "This is not your present! Go to the living room!"
So I did. And there was a big box on the couch/futon.
And in the wrapping paper there was....
my new PS2! yaaaaaaay!
After we got finished unpacking it, hooking it up, and testing it out (I think I'm going to lose my husband to GT3 - he was all over it) he looked at me and said sth like "You should know this doesn't mean that you're always going to get your way by being stubborn and persistent."
I just smiled.

Drat
Lucky you and your PS2. Let me know when you break it. *grin*
Re: Drat
The PS2 will be broken whenever my husband and I get a fighter like Tekken Tag and I throw the controller at him.

What a great sounding day and a fantastic surprise gift that was ! :) And what an elegant and memorable way he handed it to you. You have a good hubby. :)
And of course fun to hear he enjoyed the little black box too... shared fun is double the fun.
Thanks for the chat last night, it was fun to see everyone again after only 3 days of absence. lol !
Thanks for the e-mail as well. I'm considering putting one of those engrish quotes somewhere if I can find some of the funny ones again on the site. LOL ! "wants to have a happy ... time" LOL ! (That still cracks me up)
Hehe..
I bet you grinned when you saw it...din't ya?
Congratulation Arafel. I hope yo have lotz of fun with your new PS2.
Although...I'd watch out how much your hubby plays that GT3.....

I'll admit I'm very jealous that you got a PS2... that's so awesome. I gave my boyfriend a PS two Christmases ago (after seeing FF7 at my sister's when I went home for Thanksgiving), and now that we live together, I can play whenever I want (wheee!). I spend more time on my computer playing Diablo2 (when I'm not working, ahem) but I've been thinking more and more about getting back to the PS. (We have FF7, 8, and possibly 9, and I've yet to finish any of them...)
Anyway, have fun!

If you ever get into the FF games, you have a whole bunch of people here who would just looove to chew your ear off about them.

The thing that always pulls me off of FF is that the game logs your hours... at some point I save the game and say "OH MY GOD, I've just played this game for 36 hours! I have to get some labwork done!"
I'll definitely post to you guys when I start playing again. The plots are quite impressive...
