When did you write your first "fanfiction" piece? What was it for?
I wrote my first official fanfiction piece, Broken Wings, for the Soul Reaver fandom back in 1999. It was quickly followed by Little Brother. I imagine that if the Internet had been around during my grade/high school years, I would have written a plethora of really, really bad Real Ghostbusters and Quest for Glory fanfiction. Thankfully, it wasn't. (the concept of fanfiction did not occur to me when I was younger, oddly.)
Did you actually post it anywhere?
Nosgoth.net. It's still there. *sniff* Ah, good times, until CyborReaver went crazy. (Remember, guys?)
What series have you written fanfics for?
Soul Reaver, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy VII, and Trigun.
If you had the chance to have the original creator turn any of your fanfic into an actual real piece, which story would you choose?
*thoughtfully* I was once told by Cybor, who spoke with Amy Hennig from time to time, that if seraphim showed up in SR then maybe I'd have had something to do with it. I have no idea if the Hylden are any indication, but I'd like to think that was partly my baby.
Yes, I'm conceited. Shut up.
Any Original Characters (ones that got named) that you had inhabit the series universes? If so - who/where? (Yes, this is where we embarrass you by revealing your dark secrets!)
Yahriel, Jehoel, Pistis Sophia, Nakir, and pals - Soul Reaver. Other than that, not really.
Do you have any weird music quirks that help you write?
When I get really stuck, music adds to the problem rather than solving it. Once the words start coming, then I can listen. Nothing too catchy, or I end up singing along rather than writing.
What are common "themes" you hide in your stories?
...I have themes?
*thinks*
Most of my stories are sappy romances, so I guess that says something about an innate faith that things can work out with the right person. Other than that, I really don't know.
What are your favourite characters to write POVs from?
Kickass women. The minor character who turns out to be important in a subtle way.
What story of yours do you wish more people would read and love?
Roots. I had a ton of fun writing that one, and I'm sorry more people didn't like it. Win some, lose some.
If you could pick a specific scene of your story to be made into a comic-book/doujinshi format, what scene from what fanfic would you pick?
Hehehehe. I'll skip the obvious one here (Skies of Eden, anyone?) and say that it would be cool to watch Yahri rebuild Raziel's wings.
And last but not least - why do you like writing fanfiction?

As I said in the review I left a while back for this story, it really is ridiculously under-appreciated. I only have a couple of guesses as to why it has so few reviews. 1) it's an older story and people aren't checking the later pages of Trigun fanfics at ff.net or 2) folks are reading it and liking it, but since it's a one-shot they don't see the need to leave a review and encourage you to continue (simply put, some people are lazy and won't review unless they see themselves getting something out of it).
